So, you know how last season only had about 12 premieres due to all the pandemic delays? Well, this season has a RIDICULOUS amount of premieres as a result of that. (Though most of them are shorter anime or second seasons, which I do not cover in these reviews.) Perhaps its a good thing that I’m a temporary NEET for once…?
This post covers anime that initially aired from October 1st through October 4th.
This anime season in terms of new premieres is much more sparse than previous seasons, due to a combo of 1) anime from last season that started airing but then had to go on hiatus and got pushed back until this season to finish and therefore pushing back other anime that would have aired during those times, and 2) anime that was planned to premiere but got pushed back until next season or later due to pandemic complications. What we got left with was uhhh a fair chunk of ecchi. So this is fun!! Overall there’s only about a dozen new anime premieres this season.
Here we go, part 2. I have 89 emails informing me of recent edits to wiki pages since March 29th I’ve been too scared to try and sift through. This post covers anime that initially aired from April 5th through April 13th.
So, last time my seasonal review got delayed simply because of procrastination. This time, it was because OUR FUCKING INTERNET WAS BROKEN FROM MARCH 29TH TO APRIL 9TH. Very LOVELY timing especially since I WENT BACK* TO SCHOOL ON MARCH 30TH (*”back” meaning “oh hey its time for online classes and pacing yourself good luck”). This among, uh (gestures widely), meant that I was a little bit slower on the watching uptake than usual. I was able to watch SOME anime on my phone using our temporarily boosted cellular plan, but it’s not my favorite way to watch it. Just above watching on one of those in-seat screens on an airplane, I think.
Anyways, while I’d actually uh, finished watching all of the anime covered in this post for a whiiile now, I didn’t get around to banging out my thoughts until now, so. This post covers anime that initially aired from April 1st through April 4th.
It has come to my attention that I overlooked an anime during my last seasonal review, one that has since gained quite a bit of notoriety. It’s quite embarrassing that I overlooked such a hit!! As such, I am now quickly rectifying the situation before I release my Spring 2020 reviews in the following weeks.
Here we go!

So. This review is less timely than the other two prior were. Don’t really have much else to say about that. Just that anime season starts line up very nicely with when my college terms start, and that I just felt like binging a bunch of RedLetterMedia instead of watching literally anything else for two weeks. Because of that, there’s going to be less summarization on these because I’m certain everyone and their mom already has done that.
Anyways, here we go. This Seasonal Review entry covers anime released from January 2nd to January 8th, along with Obsolete, which aired on YouTube in its entirety on December 3rd.
No, that Lego video game review hasn’t come out. Oops.
Here we go, the beginning of a new anime season and the beginning of my career as a college sophomore! Hopefully this time I won’t fail half my classes. Well, I definitely won’t, because I’m taking an odd number, so failing half would be impossible. Yes, I’m safe! I’ll be doing something a little bit different this time–instead of forcing myself to watch an entire episode if I’m not enjoying it, I’ll stop and I will, of course, make a note of such in the review. I’ll also be splitting the season up a little differently, due to the heavy skew of anime released during the first week of the month compared to the second week.
This Seasonal Review entry will cover anime released from October 2nd to October 5th, as well as Cannon Busters, which was released in its entirety on August 15th.
